Reverie is a royal entity originating from Level 94. Among the wanderers she has maintained a charming, theatrical and unpredictable personality, capable of simultaneously appearing friendly and instilling restraint. Despite her gentle exterior and playful demeanor, Reverie is characterized by a need for control, has a low tolerance for restrictions and is prone to manipulating others for her own interests or behavior.
She thrives on attention and a sense of superiority, often using psychological pressure to evoke emotions in her interlocutors. At the same time, Reverie has been able to provide unexpected care to those she considers part of her circle. Many of them find her interactions both attractive and tiring.
Reverie is believed to possess abilities in mind manipulation. Due to her connections to power, as well as serious rumors of cruelty she remains a highly controversial figure among the residents of the Backrooms.

infoDescription

Reverie appears as a short, pale-skinned humanoid with long white hair and rabbit-like features, including long ears, tail and paws. She most often wears luxurious clothes in pastel pink and white tones with gold accents and fur trim. Her style is deliberately expensive and slightly theatrical, emphasizing her royal status.
Despite her gentle and almost innocuous appearance, her demeanor and facial expressions often convey a sense of self-confidence and hidden superiority. Reverie moves gracefully and poised. Many have noted a strange sense of discomfort around her, as if something dangerous lurks behind her friendly smile.

scienceBiology

Reverie's body is distinguished by unnatural endurance and extremely slow aging. Despite her youthful appearance, her actual age is estimated to be approximately a thousand years. It is presumed that her body was artificially created by the Animated King, while her soul and some behavioral traits were inherited from Mother.
Like many anomalous entities in the Backrooms, Reverie exhibits abilities related to mental influence and emotional manipulation. Researchers note that prolonged interaction with her can cause increased emotional dependence, anxiety and difficulty objectively perceiving her behavior.

psychologyPersonality

Reverie has a quite unstable personality. She is accustomed to being the center of attention, often acting theatrically and provocatively. She enjoys provoking people's emotions, especially through psychological pressure. Her mood can change dramatically: one moment she seems friendly and caring and then she’s suddenly cold or even downright cruel.
Reverie does not tolerate restrictions or feelings of weakness well. She is impulsive and highly enjoys risk, excitement and sense of control. However, she is not completely heartless. She is capable of showing genuine towards those close to her, although she expresses this rather through actions than words. She is extremely selective in who she trusts and prefers to surround herself with those around whom she can "take off her mask" and behave less formally.

psychology_altAbilities

Reverie is capable of invading the subconscious and weaving dreams seamlessly into a victim’s perception of reality. Given enough time, the distinction between genuine memories and those created by Reverie gradually disappears, leaving her target increasingly vulnerable to suggestion.
Although Reverie rarely relies on direct violence, she is almost never encountered alone. She is commonly accompanied by a couple Animations that serve as bodyguards. They obey her without hesitation, intercept attacks and engage hostile targets while Reverie remains at a safe distance, observing the encounter.
Should a situation require Reverie to eliminate someone personally, she avoids open confrontation entirely. Instead, she prefers methods that minimize personal risk, carefully engineering situations in which her victim never realizes they are in danger until it is too late. Victims have disappeared after accepting food or drink from her, while others were left with fatal injuries before they had a chance to understand what had happened.

searchDiscovery

The exact date of Reverie's first appearance remains unknown, but most researchers link its origins to the activities of the Animated King. According to a popular theory, Reverie was created as the heir to the “Motion” after the resurrection of Atlas.
The first confirmed reports of Reverie appeared among wanderers visiting Level 94 at daytime. Eyewitnesses described a young girl with rabbit-like features and royal clothing. They said she had an unusually friendly demeanor, sharply contrasting with the unsettling atmosphere around her. Many reports contradict each other: some witnesses called Reverie a "sweet and caring princess," while others claimed to experience intense fear or a sense of manipulation after interacting with her.

groupRelations

The Animated King

Reverie's devotion to her father is absolute, yet deeply anxious. The King sculpted her physical form from the fine blue clay of Level 94, giving her the appearance of a delicate, rabbit-featured princess to match the stop-motion aesthetic of his kingdom. She acts as his primary instrument of courtly order, managing the banquets and keeping the docile daytime Animations in check.
However, she is haunted by the knowledge that she is a replacement. She is an artificial creation meant to fill the void of the family he lost before his fall. When the King looks at her, she fears he sees only a doll playing pretend. This drives her to extremes of cruelty against wanderers, desperate to prove that she can guard his kingdom's borders and expand his "ever-growing empire".

Mother

While her father gave her shape, Mother gave her a voice. Reverie is one of the few entities capable of entering the heavy, inverted atmosphere of Level 1.5 without losing her physical body. She periodically visits the core of the level, bringing Mother gifts of pristine white clay and doll parts from Level 94.
Mother taught her how to weave psychological pressure into comfort. Through Mother's influence, Reverie learned that a human's mind is most vulnerable when wrapped in the warm blanket of guilt. In Level 1.5, Reverie sheds her theatrical "princess" persona, resting her white-furred head on Mother's formless, heavy presence to seek the quiet validation her father rarely grants.

Argos

Reverie and Argos' relationship is extremely tense and contradictory. He represents the unyielding, objective Justice that executed her father in ancient times. He sees right through Reverie's rabbit-faced innocence, classifying her as a predatory "Creature" that uses emotional trickery to lure souls into her father's trials. When discussing him, she often becomes arrogant and provocative, as if trying to conceal her inner tension with mockery and bravado. For her, Argos symbolizes control, judgment and restrictions - basically all the stuff she fears most. However, she clearly doesn't take him lightly and prefers to keep her distance, even if she acts defiantly.
