Kindness. Knowledge. Community. These are the foundations upon which the Cygnus Order was built. Under the gaze of our leader, Lady Blanche, we strive to educate first and foremost. To divulge the knowledge we hold so dear, and to help those trapped in this realm, both old and new, survive and thrive in these odd conditions. We are teachers, historians, archivists, librarians, archaeologists, but most of all, we seek to help the people, both natives and outsiders, understand the Backrooms and how to live in the strange environments that they're known for, how to respect the cultures and wildlife here present, and how to adapt to this strange and unpredictable realm.

Our Mission
Knowledge has no value unless shared. While it is undeniable that the M.E.G. Database and other similar platforms have done an excellent job of archiving and conveying vital information to the general public, access to such platforms can be limited, unintuitive, and often relies on the individual to do plenty of compiling work and memorization. As such, we have prepared a varied curriculum, covering subjects such as biology, geography, self-defense, history, chemistry, survival, math, various language classes, art and more. Our goal is to prepare new generations of Wanderers to life in the Backrooms, as well as to satiate the curiosity and need to improve of any and all who wish to learn more, regardless of their age or their whereabouts.
Our goal, however, isn't bound by classroom walls and time tables. We guide ourselves by the principles found in Lady Blanche's teachings, and we have faith they are the key to better ourselves and the world around us. Our members provide shelter, distribute food, water and other supplies to any in need, help build and defend communities, and cooperate with other groups to help make life in the Backrooms safer and more peaceful.
Our Classes
Biology
Our biology program pays special attention to the many entities of the Backrooms, their anatomy, their behaviors, and how to best approach them. It also covers the human body, a few life forms from the Frontrooms, and first aid/medicine. The goal of these classes is to prepare students for all sorts of entity encounters, and letting them know how to interact with the denizens of the Backrooms.
Geography
Our geography classes focus on the many Levels of this strange realm. Most teachers are, or were, renowned explorers of the Backrooms, and strive to educate newer generations of Wanderers on the various locations they may come across, what dangers lurk within, how to best traverse them, and what to expect out of the various groups occupying them. Overall, geography is one of our most extensive and complete courses, and a key subject in our curriculum.
History
Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it. As such, we make sure to provide a history course, regarding the geopolitical and cultural evolution of the various groups of the Backrooms, as well as the stories and people that lead us to where we stand today. This course also contains portions of Frontrooms history, as to ensure the newer generations do not repeat the mistakes of old.
Mathematics
The Order's mathematics course seeks to teach students about many different areas of mathematics, ranging from basic calculus to complex non-standard multiplanar geometry. Mathematics can help newcomers understand the strange realm of the Backrooms, although it requires a non-traditional approach to the subject. Additionally, knowledge of the basic principles of engineering is fundamental to the establishing of new towns and outposts, and students may opt to follow that route if they so wish.
Arts
No education is truly complete without proper study of the arts. As such, it only makes sense for the Cygnus Order to offer various courses on the topic, so as to help develop interpretation skills, critical thinking, and to broaden our students' cultural horizons. Furthermore, specialized courses are available to those who wish to create art, rather than simply study it.
Physical Education
The Cygnus Order curriculum also contains a sizeable physical component, a necessity towards educating our students on how to best survive the Backrooms. This includes various sports and other activities to ensure students can stay fit, as well as a lengthy number of combat lessons, designed to help Wanderers handle a vast array of potential encounters.
Other Services
In addition to our classes, the Cygnus Order provides various other services, including the organization of key supply distribution operations, housing and refugee services, and promotion of various cultural and leisure activities, ranging from movie showings to sports events and much more. As said by Lady Blanche, survival musn't be our sole priority.
